GALAPAGOS EXPEDITION

The Club has chartered the expedition vessel "National Geographic Polaris" [LOA 238'] from Lindblad Expeditions. There will be a maximum of 79 passengers in 39 outside double cabins on this fully air-conditioned ship.

Confirmed schedule:
April 3 - in Guayaquil, Ecuador at the Hilton Colon Guayaquil Hotel.
April 4 - fly 600 miles to Galapagos and board "NG Polaris" by Zodiac. Seven nights aboard and at least two daily landings on the 9 islands.
April 11 - Depart for Guayaquil, stay one night at the Hilton Colon Guayaquil Hotel
April 12 - Trip disbands
NOTE: Ramanavami is April 3; Passover begins April 9; Good Friday is April 10; Easter is April 12

For this expedition, Zodiacs are used for passenger embarkation, disembarkation and daily landings.
A newer ship similar to National Geographic Polaris may replace her after November 2008. We may gain the option of a few more cabins and passengers above the current 79-passenger limit. We will keep you updated.

Category #1: $4530 per person double occupancy - 3 cabins – “A” Deck
$6810 single occupancy - 1 cabin – “A” Deck;
Category #2: $5230 per person double occupancy –19 cabins: 18 cabins – Main Deck,
1 cabin – “ A” Deck
Category #3: $5850 per person double occupancy - 4 cabins – Upper Deck
Category #4: $6230 per person double occupancy - 7 cabins – Upper Deck
Category #5: $7470 per person double occupancy - 4 cabins – Upper Deck
Payment Schedule:
1- Non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per person due upon signing letter Agreement.
2- Second payment of 40% of price due June 30, 2008.
3- Final payment for remaining amount due September 30, 2008.

A member may reserve one cabin [member plus one guest] by Cabin Category, from Category 1 to 5. Reservations for additional family and friends will be placed on the Wait List until May 31, 2008. The Wait List opens for Cabin Category reservations beginning May 31, 2008.
A short two-page letter of Agreement will outline the expedition information, including your Cabin Category reservation, ticket price, check payment dates, contact information, other basic information, standard representations and waivers. When your reservation is made, we will send you this Agreement. Within two weeks of making your reservation, please sign and return it to the Sailing Office with your check for the reservation fee of $1,000/person.
Note: The Club's MedJet medical evacuation insurance is required.
