Fort Worth Boat Club

Fort Worth, Texas

Established in 1929, Fort Worth Boat Club has a long history of hosting regional, national and world championship events for both adults and youth. Among six partner clubs for the Young America syndicate, FWBC has plenty of accomplished sailors in its membership ranks.  The club is a frequent host to major national and international regattas, which include the US Match Racing Championship, National Youth Championships, J/22 World Championship and J/80 World Championship.

The Fort Worth Boat Club team consists of skipper Glenn Darden, tactician Reese Hillard, foredeck, Tony Waldon, and crew Steve Flunker.  Darden and Hillard have combined to win a number of one-design championships including world and North American titles in the J/80 class.  Waldon joined them in winning two national championships in the J/105 class, and together with Flunker, the team has raced the Swan 42 extensively.
