Indian Harbour Yacht Club

Greenwich, Connecticut

Indian Harbor Yacht Club has been a sailing club committed to advancing the sport at all levels since its founding in 1889.  Early members participated in the establishment of the North American Yacht Racing Union (known today as US Sailing), and club members have won notable blue water races, including the Transatlantic Race, the King’s Cup, the Newport to Bermuda Race, and the Southern Ocean Racing Circuit. In addition to a highly regarded junior sailing program, the club is active in one-design sailing and takes great pride in hosting championship regattas including the 2003 Etchells World Championship, the 2009 US Sailing Youth Championships, and the 2010 Mallory Trophy.

Indian Harbor is returning to the event with a team that gained experience from the 2010 event, and a determined focus on earning a berth in the Invitational Cup. The team secured the use of a Sonar for practice and organized a campaign schedule including regional one- design events to further their training. The team members, supporters, and all of the Club’s members look forward to some great competition in this outstanding event.
