Clube Naval de Cascais

Clube Naval de Cascais

The Cascais Naval Club was founded with this name in 1940 and, since its birth, it has assumed a fundamental role in the development of nautical sports in Portugal, with special emphasis in sailing.

Its Sailing School, still operating nowadays, and marked by some short interruption periods, started its activity in 1950.

For more than 40 years the School was responsible - with larger incidence in the last decade - for the training of many Portuguese sailors, some of them with national and international projection, and it is worth noticing not only the percentage of sailors of our Club that today belong to the Pre-Olympic Portuguese Teams, but also the number of those that more recently have been obtaining successes and honorable classifications in international competitions.
