2024 Hinman Masters
August 16-18, 2024
Newport, R.I.
Yacht Club teams will be invited to compete in the 2024 Hinman Masters in Sonars with 3 to 5 sailors per boat. Skippers must be at least 45 years of age and each crew member must be at least 40 years of age. Entry is by invitation. Interested teams should submit the Request for Invitation along with a team resume no later than March 1 and invites will be sent out March 8, 2024.
The winning team will be presented with the Commodore George R. Hinman Masters Invitational Trophy — the NYYC's Masters team-racing championship. The trophy was rededicated in 1999 by Commodore George M. Isdale in recognition of George R. Hinman's commitment to sailing and friendly competition. The first regatta was held in 2000.
