2021 Hinman Masters Team Race

General Format

Yacht Club teams will be invited to compete in the 2021 Hinman Masters in Sonars with 3 or 4 sailors per boat.  Skippers must be at least 45 years of age.  Each crew member must be at least 40 years of age. Entry is by invitation. Because the event was not run in 2020, the teams that were invited then are automatically invited to the event this summer. Any other interested teams should submit the Request for Invitation along with a team resume no later than February 8, 2021. In the event a space becomes available, teams that have requested an invitation will be considered. 

The winning team will be presented with the Commodore George R. Hinman Masters Invitational Trophy — the NYYC's Masters team-racing championship. The trophy was rededicated in 1999 by Commodore George M. Isdale in recognition of George R. Hinman's commitment to sailing and friendly competition.  The first regatta was held in 2000.
