New York Yacht Club partnered with Sail Newport in the 1990s to bring keelboat team racing to Harbour Court. Since that time the Club has acquired a fleet of 22 Sonars, created four nationally-renowned team race regattas, and played a pivotal role in the growth of team racing as a sport for all ages, all across the country. Each year, the Club runs four highly regarded home events: the Women's 2v2 Team Race kicks off the season in June, followed by the Morgan Cup, Hinman Masters and NYYC Grandmasters on consecutive weekends in the month of August. 

This year the Club is proud to host the 2025 Team Race World Championship May 28-June 1.
