New York Yacht Club is excited to introduce the Great Grandmasters Team Race. As the team racing population continues to expand across the ages, it is exciting to add yet another offering to the NYYC lineup that now includes our senior population. Competitive team racing combined with fun socials and camaraderie, on and off the water, is a win-win, no matter one's age!

The first edition will take place at Harbour Court, August 21-22, 2025, and include six teams from across the country. The format is 3v3 in the Club's fleet of Sonars. Each helmsperson must be at least 70 years of age, and crew must be a minimum of 60. Per the Notice of Race, Club membership is a requirement, but there are no gender or weight requirements. Spinnakers will not be used. Entry is by invitation.
