2022 Global Team Race

There is no better format to showcase the athleticism, skills and knowledge of sailors at the highest level than team racing. Winning requires top performance in all aspects of sailing: tactics, boat handling, and understanding of the Racing Rules of Sailing. Team racing is familiar, results are easy to understand: two teams competing head-to-head. Winner take all. In the two-on-two format, there's no need for any math. The team that finishes last in a race loses that race. The Global Team Race Regatta returns to the calendar this season to provide a proof of concept that will drive continued growth in the sport, greater international visibility and enhance the possibility of Olympic designation. Entry is by invitation.
